Is this tacky glue fake or genuine?

Bought a bottle off Amazon, says made in China not India and the bottle front is different too. Glue is slightly runner and thinnner than old bottle and doesn’t stick well. I have emailed Aleenes but had no reply yet. Here’s a picture of both side by side, new on left old on right as you are looking at it . Has anybody else got a bottle like this? Is it real or have I gotten a dud?

Oh my gosh than you so much! I looked all over for info like that and couldn’t find it anywhere online! So the “made in India” one is fake too?! Guess I must’ve lucked out with that as it has been great glue, honestly thought that one was genuine. The new China one though is useless, won’t even stick card to card. Does the back of a genuine bottle say 'made in USA’ on it so I know what to look for?

I went and looked at my Tacky Glue and it does say “Made in USA”. I have heard that almost all of the Tim Holtz inks and oxides on Amazon are fake and often are not even the right color. Some people are happy though because they never bought the real one and do not realize what they should have. It is crazy the stuff that is faked these days.

Thank you for checking for me :slightly_smiling_face:. I have managed to buy some off an ebay seller that showed a pic of the actual bottle front and back and it clearly says ‘made in USA’ on it. I actually went and looked at several listings, many say US made but the picture of the bottle back has ‘made in india/china on it - what a minefield just for glue! :confounded:
