Is this light Biracial?

Hi there everybody! I saw these pictures of these painted kits on eBay. They aren’t my work but they are by an artist I like, Jerelin0. I was just curious if they look light Biracial because they kind of remind me of Meghan Markle in a cute way.

Thanks,
Julie

I agree. I think a good portion of the babies I see labeled biracial look Caucasian though. :joy:

They could be biracial. This is my little cousin. His mom is 1/4 Hispanic and 3/4 white. His daddy is black. The baby looked white til he was about a month old. Now he is about 8 months old and looks Hispanic.

I definitely think they could be Biracial. Often when I see biracial reborns, they tend to look more African American more often. However, in real life when I see Biracial babies, especially at newborn age, they look like the painted babies in the photo above. Biracial babies can look anyways from completely Caucasian to completely African American to in between. Many people seem to think biracial babies are brown or deeper skinned babies with blue eyes as I often see reborns marketed this way or people simply market the baby as “Biracial/AA” which those are two different races/ethnicities. I never see anyone market a reborn as “Biracial/Caucasian” so I do not understand why they are marketed that way. But, I do think those babies could be biracial and they are beautiful

I think maybe they are labeled biracial/AA because the skin tone could resemble either of these ethnicities. Plus, it would appeal to a wider range of customers.

Not to mention that “biracial“ is just two different races in general, could be any combo of races, yeah? So I would say they looked biracial. I mean, aren’t we all really just some mix of something? Lol

Looks Caucasian but sometimes people ask me if my babies are Biracial too so I suppose you could sell them as Biracial. The painting is absolutely outstanding!!

This is one of those “eye of the beholder” things. Looking at these two as bi-racial, I see Hispanic and Caucasian. They are beautifully painted.

They have that warmth to their skin tone that Meghan Markle has so I understand what you are saying. IMO, biracial skin tones are not set in stone and can vary just like any other skin tone.

Thanks everyone! Like I said, I’m not their artist Their artist is Sharon (Jerelin0) on ebay. I just saw these beautiful kits and wondered. I guess it is in the eye of the beholder and they are beautifully painted.

I might be wrong with my statement, but I noticed that every time when artist’s work came darker than it was initially intended, it labeled ‘biracial’. Nothing wrong with that as babies comes with all skin tones. However I think majority of artists try to paint either AA, Caucasian, or Asian skin tones. Biracial - is just a happy accident. Again nothing wrong with that. It’s just my opinion about reborn art process.
