I just finished painting my Johannah and is it just me or does her head seem a little big for the rest of her? I chose the #7542 body and it just seems ‘off’ somehow. I haven’t rooted her head yet so maybe when she is truly finished and dressed she’ll be ok. Did anyone else feel this way about her?
Haven’t painted Johannah yet, so I’m following this thread.
I have her in my stash. But haven’t painted her yet. One of my kids has a mega head. It was off the charts huge as a baby. Now that he’s 9, it’s still massive. But not as obvious. Some babies just have a thick skull. Don’t knock the big head babies. Embrace them as they are.
I thought her head was big too! But she looks okay put together
Be nice about her big head, she can’t help it! I’ve always had a big head and finding hats to fit has been a problem since I was a baby! All that brain power needs room! LOL
I said that the first time I made her, it looked long and skinny but my mom felt it was much more realistic than the others are proportionately. So I quit worrying about it
Yes big head short limbs but buyers seem to love this kit!
Her head is big but it works, she’s one of the most perfect Realborn!
Her head is bigger than it should be. The rest of her body feels small compared. I thought I mixed up limbs on her.
Her head and neck are a little bigger. I use the19 inch body but layer her clothes and she looks great to me.
She’s an exact replica of the real baby. So her head is exactly the size it should be, the size God made it.
I adore your painting skills!
Good idea! I’m going to order the smaller body size!
I use the new 21" body for her I find it to work perfectly. Just enough chubby for her big head to seem fine !
That baby is beautiful!
My son had a huge head. He was measuring at 2 years of age for head size when he was 11 months. Doctor did an ultrasound through his fontanel to be sure all was well, and it was. But he is on the autism spectrum and I’ve read that many kids with autism have larger heads.
Oh I have never heard of that ! That may explain why doctors thought my son (Asperger) was maybe hydrocephalus at one month ! He still have a big head today, my husband too (Asperger too).
My son still has a large head today, too. He is almost 11.
My oldest son has a big head and Aspergers. But he was big all over as a baby and child. So his giant head was proportional. My youngest has a different daddy…a big head, thick skulled block head daddy. He got his daddy’s head, and the thick skull. But thankfully, not the block head part.
Here’s my giant head little baby.
What a cutie! My oldest daughter had a big head too. Lol
Trying to remember if my daughter with autism had a big head or not. I’m thinking that her head was pretty average in size.
