I kinda like the hidden gem babies. Aria is one of them, not a fan of her limbs but her face, something about it tugs at my heart. Lane was one of the first Babies I painted and still to this day his little face is just so sweet to me. I just painted Oaklynn, (just her head) for the first time and what sweetness!
I painted her as a little circus baby-cuddle. I am going to use her as a demo for my class I am teaching at the senior center. They are going to do all closed eyed babies (keeping it simple) but I think they are going to love her.
She is smaller than I thought she would be and she didn’t come alive until her eyes went in. I usually do more circus “make-up” but she wanted to stay just the way she was. You will love her.
I never liked that kit (too sad looking to my taste), but today Oaklyn is $30 and this thread convinced me that I need to buy and paint her . Didn’t press the buy button yet, though.
I guess that type of clown that I painted in J. Lombardo class will be cute on her.
I adore Jodie’s work, it is so sweet and and well done. She is the queen of clown babies in my opinion. Is this the baby you painted? Oh my goodness, press the button, press the button. Did you guys make costumes in the class or did she bring them? I love all this pastel happiness.
Yes, that is my baby Oscar Auer (still unfinished after the DOTWE). I took 2 days ethnic skin tones with Jodie, and then clown face painting - she was teaching that for the first time. The pastel paint’s colors selections and costume are all mine, we didn’t make costumes in a class.
LOL, thank you for an encouragement! I pressed the button
