Hello Everyone! I have a question. Im new at this and learning as I go along. What would be the cause if a doll is finished and varnish, baked 3 times and now is alittle shinny on the hands? And can it be fixed, thank you in advance!!

You could use an air dry varnish on those areas. Soft Touch Matte Varnish by Deco Art. Make sure to stir it very, very well and add a little matting powder. after brushing it on (very thin) lightly pounce with a cosmetic sponge. Remember to let anything air dry cure well.

If it is varnished and gets shinny it may be overbaked . 265 for 8 min .

For future a little trick I do is I look at each piece after my first bake and second baking, I have a brush VERY lightly loaded with the varnish and I touch up any spots that are shiny, by my final bake there are no more shiny spots and with the coats so light they cure just fine!
Thank you!! I will definitely give that a try next time
