Huti b adg

What are they worth? I searched with the spyglass and looked at eBay…can’t find what I’m looking for

Assuming this post is about Ashton Drake galleries doll? The thread topic is a bit tricky to decipher.

Yeah Ashton drake dolls, but the one I have also says huti b. On the back of the neck so I’m wondering if these dolls are worth anything or not

Tinneke/Huti made a set of I think maybe 3 of these for Ashton Drake. They are from the truly real collection… I think there were at least 3 anatomically correct babies in the series…(may have that wrong but I used to have Grace.) As you know, different artist sculpt the dolls for AD and most of the time they have the artist name, initials etc on them as well as AD. I have seen them up for sale ranging from $50 and up - usually around the $100 - $150 mark for the better condition ones - depending on the condition/box etc. How well they sell will depending on if someone collects them or just falls in love. The earlier version was a sleeper if I remember correctly and the vinyl is a bit different from the later ones…

Oh ok, thanks for explaining :slightly_smiling_face: I didn’t know much about Ashton Drake dolls but now I have several lol
The one in question is yawning and is a boy. The hair glued on is interesting lol

Yes I know about that hair… not exactly beautiful… haha! I ended up taking it off a Charlie back when I had only been reborning for a couple of years and painted and rooted him and sold that one as a reborn… It was a pain getting the glue off the head… :flushed: :grimacing:

I love the little yawning boy… he is so cute… I never had that one… (I was an AD, FM, DM, PG WOD etc collector back many years ago and bought a lot of their series dolls… I’ve collected dolls since I was probably about 10 years old. Started out with Madam Alexanders and went to the porcelain Collector dolls when I was a bit older and then started into the artist limited edition vinyls and finally to reborns before I started painting them myself… ) I have sold off most all my collections over the years though.

Oh wow you rooted one of those heads?! This one is hard as a rock I can’t imagine trying to root it lol
Do you miss the dolls you used to have?

YESSSSS… The head was very hard… I think back then I used a 42g forked needle on that head as I have always found the forked needles to be stronger and last longer than the barbed one… was NOT fun though…

I DO miss some of the dolls A LOT… I have to admit that I have started replacing some of the ones I miss most - bought 2 Madam Alexander Puddin’ dolls that were from the 1960’s in excellent condition and still in original outfits (reminiscent of my childhood so nostalgia more than any thing prevailed in those purchases… haha!) Reborns are the ones that steal my heart though so am keeping an eye out for a few very special ones of those to purchase once I am fully settled in the new house…

I HAVE kept my most sentimental dolls - one is a portrait doll of my grandson that I had Phil Donnelly sculpt for me back in 2012… He is life size so a big clay baby… I also have a reborn that my hubby bought for me right after we married in 2006. There are stories that go with both those but will spare you…haha! AND I have a couple of my own reborns for posterity sake mostly because my mother insisted that I should keep a few so I would not regret not having some of my own work in the future… (I made about a 12 - 20 over the years for myself but ended up selling them when people saw them and wanted to buy… always thought I would just make myself another in the future but never got round to it… still miss some of those but can’t get the kits for them these days…) Looking to add a few new reborns in the not so distant future… (definitely talent here that tempts me GREATLY…)

Edited to shorten…
