How much should I weight 3 month Joseph Awake?

I’m not really going for a realistic weight, just enough for him to sit up well. He’s for my collection, and the most I’m going to do is put cute outfits on him, like I do all my babies. I’m not even sure about weighting the limbs- I was just going to stuff them and let the stuffing be the weight. What do you guys think? Would he be all right with no weight, and just polyester stuffing? The fluffy kind, since that’s all I have.

I have reborned several Joseph kits and I weigh in about up to 8 LBS to me anything over that is way too heavy to carry him and snuggle with.

That’s how I’ve weighted mine, too, except for 1 custom and the lady wanted him at 10 lbs…let me tell you, THAT was too heavy in my opinion! I could hardly lift him to change his outfits and packing him for shipping, WHEW!!!

Since he is for your collection, the poly fill alone is just fine. You may find it hard to get the stuffing all the way done into the limbs, though.

Oh wow, 10# !! That’s heavy! Isn’t shipping cost determined by weight!!

he should be good with just plolyfil, if you find he is a little top heavy you can just add some wight to the feet and butt!
