I remember when McDonalds was giving out Madam Alexander dolls in Happy Meals. I swear I drove around town every week trying to get them all. Lol.
Wow!!! Love these!
They are all different too–except maybe one or 2 that I didn’t notice!
I collect and create
I used to have them pushed close together on a tiny shelf in my bedroom when I still lived with my parents. I had no room, but I needed them.
Tinkerbell actually came from the thrift store, she doesn’t have her original clothes but otherwise looks great.
I actually want more. They’re just so cute, and not even that expensive.
A swap is when artists make babies for each other and trade. The one I was in pulled names kind of like secret Santa. Great way to see other artists work and get the excitement of owning a new reborn. Just make sure it is with someone you trust because there are people who have been taken advantage of before.
I only have one keeper toddler - it is the Ella Mae sculpt. Some of my babies may stick around for a month or more so I get plenty of chances to change their clothes and get my “baby fix”
I have 6 reborns and 6 kits waiting to be keepers, lol! I’ve made all but one of my reborns, and also have an Ashton Drake porcelain baby. I also have 2 American Girl dolls; one is a Pleasant Co era Samantha. I have a few Monster High dolls and sets as well but they’re currently in storage due to lack of space.
This is one of my favorite Lee Middleton dolls that I have in my collection. I’ve had her for about 20 years. (Half my life)
She lives in her box, but one if the few I keep in my room because she has sentimental value to me. I thought I lost her once in a move and nearly died. Lol.
I have lots of dolls but when I first started reborning I only had a few odd dolls. I have quite a few that I have made myself and I’ve bought a couple of boo boo babies from ladies on this forum, have one Swap baby and I will be making more to keep (making a few now). I haven’t sold any, only given to family and friends whom I still have custom orders for. I am looking forward to painting a child size doll though.
It would be nice to have a baby from everyone on this forum though!
My daughter has this baby! She doesn’t have the outfit and wings, but she has the sculpt with the blonde hair and blue eyes. I bought her used as my daughter’s first real doll. Searching for a Lee Middleton doll is what got me into reborns
I am a collector that also makes reborns. I think my love of dolls started when I was young and have all kinds in my collection. But since I found reborns they are all I collect now. Bought a couple cheap ones and decided I could do that good and a hoarder I have become lol
Cute babies @MilosMeadows
Love your shelf and the Zombie sitting on top @EnchantedOrphanage what sculpt is the Child size doll?
That collection of BA dolls is sweet @Tessa
@danidolly Wow, I’ll take a couple off your hands when you sell them, lol!
@RabbidBunnies I think you won on the largest group of different types of dolls. They are awesome!
Awe, that’s sweet!!! A friend of mine bought the one I have for me and she passed away shortly after. So being she’s an angel, I feel like my friend is near when I have her in the house.
Thank you!
She’s the Aloënka sculpt. She was a giant to paint, but she’s a lot of fun to dress.
Here are a Lee Middleton doll and a Virginia Turner premie from my collection that my granddaughter says with. I have had these about 20 years or more also.
Anyone have any of these dolls? I have this one in my collection, and I’m curious to know how many others may have one. I believe it’s a Judith Turner doll. It’s a bit of a strange looking doll and I don’t even remember how I acquired it.
Your post made me rummage through a few boxes because I thought I had a Virginia Turner doll like you, but I have a Judith Turner. I wonder if there is a relation to the artist.
I am not sure. You should post a picture
I did. Lol. I think it’s right under your comment.
