How long does it take to get a baby from McPherson's?

I ordered Jakob last week from McPherson’s and the order status still says pending. I’m not trying to rush them, I just wanted a general idea about how long it typically takes to get one from them. It’s not a pre order or layaway or anything. Does anyone know the answer?

A lot longer than from BB. Give them 2-3 weeks. Don’t you hate waiting? I’ve been waiting for my pre ordered Saskia since mid June.

I’m not complaining really, I was just wondering. Although, I really hope it doesn’t take 3 weeks to a month. I guess I just need to think about something else. Lol

I’ve never waited more than 10 days.

I have ordered from them a few times and each order took somewhere around a month to receive. I live on the East Coast of the US.

This is terrible news. I ordered Saskia last week and was anxious to see her. She’s going to have to be painted by someone else so I shouldn’t be in a rush.

In all fairness, I have not ordered since they upgraded their ordering system. Just placed an order today so we will see.

If you really need your order, @carold, send an email to them. Brenda is very sweet and will get right back to you.

May I ask why did you order from them? They seem to take a long time to post. I ordered some time ago one order and only realized later that their prices were in US dollars, which made the kits some 30% more expensive than I expected. I was able to cancel the order, but it took several days to get response to my email (not counting the auto reply). For some time their listings had notice that their prices are in US$ but when I looked today it is again not there, or at least I did not find it when I looked for it.

What is everyone’s experience with Dolls so Real or Dolls by Sandie?

I sent PM.

I think you should contact them. I got my Saskia from them and then I decided to order another one. Neither one was a preorder and I just got the second one a couple of days ago. (actually it showed up while I was at ROSE). Give them a call and see what the hold up is!!

ludmila, I ordered from them because when I searched for Saskia they were the only ones that showed up having her and at a good price with free shipping. I can’t do anything with her yet because I’m just learning to paint on my first kit. Most likely will have to save up to send her out for painting. I just wanted to get her ordered while she was available.

Just FYI, I didn’t pre order from MacPhersons. I have ordered from them before, though, and have no complaints.

I did not realise she was not available any more. But I am sure that they just add the price of shipping to the cost of each kit?

I don’t think they are any higher.

City of Reborn Angels is in Australia and $162australian = US$121.233. Naturally, the shipping from Australia to USA would be lot. I have been paying $50 for some kits to come here :frowning:

When i look for a kit, I first look at local sellers, and then I look if the sculptor sells them directly and work out which is the best option. I just assumed that as most of kits are produced by somebody in the USA, they are cheaper to get in the US than in another country.

I also like to get my kits directly from the sculptor because if anything goes wrong they are more likely to have a spare, and it is easier than dealing through another person.

Some list their kits on their websites or Facebook. Marita Winters, Gudrun Legler, Adrie Stoete just to think of some that i bought  Both Gudrun and Marita have really beautiful bodies made specially for each kit, and they fit perfectly with nice snug fit over the limbs. I am not sure why the agents stocking these kits do not get the bodies. I got burned couple of times when they said custom made bodies, I assumed I am getting the German body, and instead got totally wrong size with “puff sleeves” bodies,

If I like a kit I first google it and see if the sculptor’s website comes up.

I ordered on the 20th. I guess another week isn’t too bad. I’m in the US.

Thank you for clarifying that!!
hUgs Brenda XOXOXO

I just spoke with McPherson’s on the phone and their customer service is excellent. There was some sort of mix up but they quickly fixed it and were extremely apologetic. Great company. Thank you @MacPhersonCrafts.
