How do we stop scammers?!😱

Take a look at this website: https://www.myrebornbabydoll.com/ (Scroll down and you will see the ‘Reviews’)
They are using other peoples pictures as reviews which include things like “Keep up the good work”
Clearly this is a scam website and I have proof as I have ordered from this wesite…
And plus they have used the same picture twice to say something different that someone has ‘said’…

Anybody can write a review. That doesn’t mean they’re legitimate. Those pictures are obviously prototype dolls and dolls made by non prototype artists, not their own work.

Are they just dolls other people have purchased and then they are using them as their reviews?

They’re stolen photos, mostly prototypes. I just left a review saying the silicone doll is vinyl. We’ll see if mine shows up.

From a new customer in the reborn world, those sites seems legit. They know nothing about prototypes, they look at reviews and see good ones. It’s tempting to buy. It’s sad that they always do research after the fact.

I know when I buy something I know nothing about I do all research possible before, like recently I bought a drawing tablet, I have look on YouTube, I have searched in techno reviews site, etc. I have learn the difference between brands and models before I decided which one is the best for my needs.

I wish people do the same with reborns, even at 100$ it’s kind of expensive for a doll ! Personally I don’t have this money to waste !

They look very legit. That’s the problem.

Yes, of course I had no idea about scammers and I did think it was a little bit unbelievable but ordered anyhow…realized after that they where scams and the order couldn’t be cancelled. They amazingly arrived, of course nothing like the picture but they are cute in their own way. And obviously were made out of plastic not vinyl.

They use stolen "customer " pictures. I know some of them used @ThePatsyFamily 's child’s picture on their fake reviews. Not sure if they were able to get through to anyone to have them removed.
The also cloned Shaylen Maxwell’s website as their artist info on some, and so on.
Using screenshots from YouTube videos as pictures on doll listings for sale.

I’ve tried to have their sites removed by contacting their web hosts, but since they operate out of China, I’ve not been successful. The sites I saw were hosted by Alibaba Group, which looks like a version of Amazon Hosting. It’s so frustrating.
