When someone is asked to do a prototype, do they get paid for it? Kit is free? Just for recognition?
Wondering too. Never been blessed with being asked to do one but I’m curious.
They send you the kit for free in exchange for the photos. Then you just have to follow the rules about when you can post the photos or sell the doll.
Kits are free. Yes, just for recognition.
I still have prototypes that were sent, completed, but never produced , but knowing that she has a hardship in their production Sarah Mellman allowed us to sell them - I mean completed work.
I think I paid shipping on them but not for the kit.
I won a contest and did one for Melody Hess. She sent a free kit. She wanted photos and I had to do some promoting on Facebook. I was able to sell the doll with the added bonus of claiming it was a prototype, which in some cases fetch a better price.
She asked us if we want to help with shipping
But that was the only one time out of all prototypes that I did for EKK.
I couldn’t remember if it was all three of mine or just the 1.
