As far as my hand eye coordination. Its not a matter of opinion. I have something called Spastic diplegic cerebral palsy. It affects my legs and my balance and hand eye coordination. I was a less than 3 pound preemie at birth. I can’t keep tension for crochet. I tried years ago and I can’t. I actually have to concentrate really hard to hand sew or paint. I regularly drop things or stab myself with needles. 
I have to teach my brain how to do things every time I use my hands. Crochet was too much and caused migraines. So I support my friends who do it instead.
