For Realborn Louis. Is he worth it? I can’t sell him. I know mainly sales are a little slow right now, well for me. I don’t take any short-cuts with my dolls. All the “layers” are done. Several mottling colors, several wash colors, several blushing layers, veining, ect. I don’t use gel pens for nails (only for our young grandaughters dolls lol).
I started him at 400.00 then reduced him to 325 for Christmas. He’s still with me. I’ve been reborning almost 3 years.
He should have brought the original price of $400.He is beautiful.
Put him back to 400$ just wait. He will sell.
I agree. Move that price back up to the $400. He will sell.
Agree with everyone above on the price. You are too impatient
Honestly I think you could get more! Getting on some of the reborn buy /sell sites is kinda horrifying! I’m always shocked at the price some of these babies bring. Terrible paint /rooting and they sell for $300-$400! Your baby is beautifully done and he will find his mama!
TY Ladies!!! I really appreciate it. I love to paint and glad to see you think he’s worth it. @YelenaRey
Yes I am.
I agree with the others – he is very well done. So precious.
I’m glad you put his price back up. He’s beautifully done. Just wait. He’ll sell.
He is adorable and well painted. Did you try him as a girl? Sometimes girls sell better.
He is beautiful. Love his chubby face and his hair is fantastic. He’s just waiting on his perfect mommy
I would keep him higher. I think with all the algorithms and new things with websites, it takes away from customers. The right mamma will come or daddy
I agree with the other ladies. Leave him at the higher price. Keep painting and list more, just let him sit until the right family finds him.
I agree with everyone. Have you tried switching out the main photo that shows up? I change mine occasionally to get more interest. I also “Feature” mine a few times so they get more views. I
Thanks Ladies!! Yes, I’ve tried to switch his main pictures around and take other random pictures. I’m not the best photographer. But No I’ve not tried to dress him as a girl. Girls do sell better for me! I’ll add those for a choice. He was on sale for 325 for several days, but I put him back up. Thank you for the suggestions and encouragement.
The psychology of pricing is so wild!
I couldn’t sell one baby when I priced myself lower…299ish…even when dolls of obviously lower quality (not meaning at all to be mean or braggy) would sell within days.
I raised my prices 50-90 dollars and my babies started selling really quickly. I even offered less “stuff” to go with them.
In that same vein, my husband tried to sell a car once…a total beater…for 600. Could not sell it! Raised the price to 1000 and sold it within hours.
Price yourself high…higher than you think you might can get. Your babies are gorgeous! He will sell!
I’m hoping that folks getting Christmas money or this new stimulus money (fingers crossed!!) will have more disposable income for things like babies!!
Wow! Well I’ve been advised to price my realborns to 500 but I just can’t. Not ready for that I don’t think.
I agree that your baby is beautiful and 325.00 was a steal. I have a really hard time with pricing. I used to look at reborns.com and see what babies similar to my skill level sold for, but now most prices are hidden after the doll has sold. I just kind of guess.
Sure you can. Just do it. That’s what I did with my Huxley. Priced her at $850 being sure that no-one would buy her at that price. She sold in less than 2 weeks. I was thrilled to pieces.
I didn’t used to hide my prices but some of my babies sold a long time ago and I don’t want people to expect them for the same price years later.
