I ordered some eyes for my Ava, I got the recommended size of 20mm but when they came they are the full round blown eyes with the stem, I had already cut a flap in the back of the eye socket to try some temporary eyes in it and when I put the new eyes in they don’t stay in tight, they leave a gap around the eye.
So my question is how on earth do you fit them with this stem on the back and are they too big and that’s why they keep sliding back into the socket??
I don’t know the answers but in my experience some round eyes do not fit right and I end up using flat back unless I can find a round that fits right. I don’t like that gap either.
Hmm think I may have to get different ones, so annoying because I really like these ones!
Next time cut an X in the back for full round eyes instead of cutting on the bottom. They may be too big. Try oval eyes they may sit better. Hopefully someone that has made her will come along to help you.
That’s how I was too!!! The light at the end of the tunnel is, it may work for a different baby. My Dominic had eyes that didn’t sit well.
Another thing you could try but my rip lashes out is see if you like it when you press the eye in from the back. If it fixed the gaps, try to put a little glue in the front with a tooth pic and e6000 insided and hold for forever With your finger lol.
All the struggle, I would check out flat backs lol
