Help/tips rooting lanugo hair

Hi guys my rooting is progressing and I’m enjoying the learning process. I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out Lanugo rooting. How on earth do you get it so flat against the head? I normally root at about a 35-40° bend the needles badly but I like how it’s looks. Do people normally glue the Lanugo down on the head? I feel like I’m missing something. Any help would be great

I paint lanugo  To get flat hair you have to root directionally at a tight angle and use very fine hair like suri alpaca.

I was thinking I may just paint. I’d love to learn how to root though. What kind of an angle would you think. I have to he at about 15-20 right now. So close I’ve got to watch the hair doesn’t root into the vinyl instead of into the head.

Thanks for the tips

That is probably about as close as you are going to get. I have only had success with suri alpaca laying flat.

No problem. You’re probably going to want to 46g needle. I use crowns and just recently started using single barbs

Lol good point!! I think painting is the way to go.
