Heart beats

My sister n I went to the mall today. I brought 2 more of the heart beats from build a bear. I still have the 2 I brought the last time. I just gotta figure out how I would put it in the body.

I’ve used one of these once. I just filled my baby like I usually do and then made like a little hole in the fiberfill in the chest where I wanted it and stuck the heart in and then put a little fiberfill over it. The only thing I don’t like about these is that everytime you push it u hear a click but it’s not that bad. The heart stayed put for the most part but I could move it if I wanted from outside too. I know some make little pockets or pouches attached inside or outside the body for these but I didn’t and it was fine!

I’m thinking about a pocket on the inside, or gluing it inside, some kind of way.

I make a pocket for them.

@Msmimi04 Can you Please, post a link to where you got them I have been looking for them 4ever! I did buy some from a nice person on this forum but my girls want more than 1 baby, I need more!

I think she went to the mall and to build-a-bear workshop.
But here is the online part… but they seem spendy. BB used to carry them but discontinued them.

Don’t these run on batteries? How do you change them?

I’m not sure, I’m guessing there are batteries in them though. I have had mine in my daughters baby for over a year and everytime we pick up the baby the heartbeat gets pushed and it’s still working like the day I got it! I do have one that is not being used inside a baby so I’ll have to check it out and see if there are batteries. I do know that the little recording boxes have those tiny watch like batteries in them but once they die, they are no longer usable! I had bought a few from Build a bear a few years ago to put into my kids favorite teddy bears with my husbands recorded messages on them before he deployed and once they died, I took it apart to change the batteries but they were not changeable. They were glued in or something like that, I can’t remember. Just remember being bummed that I was not able to keep something like that forever!

@jlesser, posted the link to the website site for build a bear. You can order them online or see if it’s a store in your city. Thank @jlesser for posting the link.

I believe it runs on battery. Can’t say for sure. But it has a lil compartment on back with a tiny screw. It has a small plastic tab in it. When I remove it it will beat when pushed.
