Head mapping - New way of drawing -

So with so many mistakes and deciding on chalk ( that is guaranteed to wipe off your map within 5 minutes) to map my reborns heads- I found the solution-
Better than fabric markers- totally washable and does not smear.
Erasable ink pens- They are called Frixion

Frixion are heat erasable. If you heat the head, you will still lose the map. This coming from a teacher who used them to mark feedback on student reports and then left them in her car

I use these, wet it to draw on the head and does the job good enough for me, wipes off really good with water.

An example from the last time I used it, I couldn’t be bothered to make the lines neat or whatever, it might flake a little when dry when rooting over it depending on how thick you put it on and some areas mine as a little thick but that wasn’t an issue for me

I wonder it that’s the same thing as those white pencils that get moistened and used to whiten tips of human nails.
Or just look the same but are made with other things since one is for cosmetic use.

I just make rows of little dots, about 1/2" apart, with a Prisma pencil. They wipe right off with a damp Q-tip.

I read they will reappear if the temperature goes below 40 F or 4 C.

Oh I’m not familiar with that technique, so I’m not sure😅

It’s for real people, not dolls. It’s a white manicure pencil. Only temporary, washes off. You get it wet and draw it on the underside of your nails.

Oh yeah I know. I just don’t get manicures and I haven’t seen it done

I never get manicures either. I’ve had the pencils before though. Scrubbing your nails with a peroxide toothpaste and a nail brush will whiten them nicely without drawing it on. :slightly_smiling_face: Good for if you have stains from orange peels or berries, etc.

Yes you’re correct - I don’t use heat - And when I do it’s not that hot. That’s so funny you say about leaving it in the car I left my nursing notes in the car and they were completely gone when I came out and it was because the car got so hot I think it needs to be pretty hot for the Inc. to actually disappear it works perfect for me

I wipe them completely off so they don’t reappear it works great for me I also don’t use heat for the most part and if I do I only warm it a little bit

Did not work for my graded papers, but I didn’t think to put them in the refrigerator

Was your head varnished?
How do you wipe it after you rooted hair on top?

While that sewing white pencil worked great, I stopped using it as my has some tiny sparkles in it. At the end it’s very hard to remove those sparkles from the finished doll.

Oh I haven’t experienced that with mine

No varnish-I don’t varnish the head

This is what I though. Otherwise it would not wipe that easy, it will grip to it the varnish IMO.
I always varnish head twice before I root.
