I seen this on Instagram today. A reborner posted it. You put a couple drops into water and it turns into what looks like milk. It’s suppose to be better than the fabric softener. I ordered a bottle.
I am very interested…
Do we know if it is non-toxic?
I also wonder if it stays mixed over time…
I saw someone use it in a YouTube video. As I recall, she had to use quite a bit more of the drops than was recommended. That’s all I know, though.
Any chemistry majors out there who would know what would make water turn white? Maybe we can figure this out on our own.
It didn’t say in the description. But I would think that it is not toxic. Magicians use it when they do milk tricks as well.
I did a little research. It is OOM or Oil of Milk used in magic tricks, also called Water Soluble Cutting Oil. Since it is used as a lubricant, I’m guessing it is NOT NON-TOXIC, but I don’t really know for sure.
What tricks involve milk?
My daughter takes a plain piece of white paper and writes on it with a white marker or any color you want and drops it in the bottle and shakes it up to change the color of the water to whatever color marker she used then takes the paper out.
Here’s a video I found
Years ago there was a disinfectant on the market called “Hexol”. Some of you may remember it, it was a brownish liquid that you added to water to disinfect things (kind of like Lysol today) except when you put it in the water it immediately turned opaque white. Just like this Miracle Milk. So same principal. I have this Miracle Milk but haven’t used it yet.
If left for a while in the bottle, does it separate or otherwise go bad?
the glues separate. However, the wood glue does look like formula when mixed up with water.
Thanks @anjsmiles
I could have sworn I read somewhere about heating the mixture and it wouldn’t separate, but can’t remember if it was glue or something else.
I have not heard that but who know maybe it does work.
