I’m still working to get the smell out of my Darren baby and I found this on MacPherson’s. Has anyone ever tried it? Will it strip his paint off if I put it on the outside? I would love any opinions or ideas. Charcoal is working to remove a good amount of the scent, but not all the way yet.
What kind of smell are you trying to remove, vinyl smell or smoke, etc.???
Its kind of unknown. Seller says it wasn’t smoke, but a mechanical smell from previous owner. Smells sort of like smoke and this odd essential oil my sister has. I’m treating it mostly like smoke though
Run it through the dishwasher top rack on hot cycle with dish washer detergent. Works wonders.
Is that safe to do on painted vinyl? The doll was completed already and I thought that may harm the paint job
OH I thought you meant a blank kit. No I wouldn’t do that to a painted one. I would write to MacPherson’s and ask about the Miracle Cleaner on painted vinyl.
Macphersons also has a de-stinking spray that I would assume is safe for a painted doll but you could ask them to be sure.
