German glass eyes and too large irises

Do any of you find that when the Lauscha glass eyes are inserted that they take up so much of the space that almost no white of the eye shows? I have several pairs that I can’t use because of this.

Yep…I loved using the IArt eyes bc you could order them with a smaller iris…I haven’t been able to get them for a few years now.

I’m glad to hear that I’m not the only one who has problems with the over large iris. Thanks.

I really don’t care for large iris eyes when they don’t show whites, they look like animal eyes-----not my thing.

It really depends on where you get them from…if you are in the US (not sure where you are) I know they are hard to come by and very expensive…here in Europe they are more inexpensive and there are many places you can buy them. I keep a lot on hand because some fit right on some babies while others just dont work. I have a few with really large irises, they were quiet inexpensive, and on some babies, with wide eyes, that works but I prefer the ones with a smaller, more natural looking iris.

I love the Iart eyes. I sit and wait for them to come in stock, and usually pay about $70 a pair :sob:
