So my sister is wanting to get into reborning and she has been sharing my stuff. I came across this reborn kit and accessories lot and thought it was a great starter kit. So we bought it. As you can see, the ad says limited edition kit. It does not say a damaged piece of garbage and stained up clothes. I requested a return so I seriously hope they approve the return. She messaged asking why I wanted to send it back. SERIOUSLY?? She said she had listed it as used. Which was obviously a lie. I had screenshot the whole thing before buying to show my sister so I knew it doesnât say that!!! Iâm so aggravated!
I order from Mercari all the time, too much and never have I received anything bad! This is completely and utterly unacceptable! Oh my! I would put up a fuss sorry you got a bum dealđĄ
I buy and sell on there and have never had an issue. I had to send in a request form and have to wait until Mercari people decide whether or not I can be issued a refund. If they donât side with me, I sure wonât use them ever again.
Yeah it is annoying when people fail to recognize the difference between used and nasty. No one wants used, stained clothes for reborn or real babies and those kits are even unacceptable. She should had described them as stripped at the least and took better pictures. She looks like she scuffed and dropped those kits on the ground and they got stained.
If thatâs the only pics from her auction⌠there are no clear pics of the kit just a partially obstructed view of a head in a bagâŚand no closeups of the clothes either.
I believe this was posted in. Fb reborn group. I was tempted to buy it, but talked myself out of it. Iâm sorry this happened to you. Thatâs why Iâm so weary of purchasing stuff like this.
Iâve had runs ins with this seller before, same reason as you. Posted one thing and received another of very very horrible quality.
Mercari refunded me (and assuming paid her since I didnât have to return it đ¤ˇit was only a $15 sale) so I chucked the nasty clothes as even washing didnât take out the stains
I wouldnât want to waste money on the shipping. If she wants her garbage back she should foot the bill. That looks so bad that my brain started smelling cigarette smoke and dirty litter box.
I do have a couple of lightly stained items of vintage clothing for reborns in my personal collection, but never would I SELL them to an unsuspecting customer. Thatâs just plain wrong!
I bought the starter kit from BB when I began. Back then you got a full kit not a test limb. And it was $99 plus shipping. Still have many of the paints left from it.
I donât know how Mercari does that. If I have to ship her stuff back and whoâs responsible for paying for it. Iâve never had to deal with this before. They may require me to ship back to get a refund. Which is definitely not fair if I get stuck paying for it!
Usually if they make you return something for a refund, mercari will send a prepaid shipping label, so itâll be on their dime.
Depending on the price you paid/shipping back determines if they allow you to keep the item plus get a refund (they always give the seller the funds to if they donât require a return)
