Fixing my childhood doll, direction needed

So, I have torn her apart. I had planned on keeping her stuffing because I am weird and I kinda think that’s a part of her haha! But it’s gross! Picture below, her weighted bag feels like it’s sand like and dusty so I was thinking ! Might replace that too. Then there is her eyes. I tried to cut them out and I can’t, looks like they were molded into her. Then her skin, stained and yellow. Should I paint her or just clean her the best I can and pit her back. Any tips, ideas would be more than welcome!

You could clean her up, do some light painting and assemble her with fresh stuffing.
A cute idea I saw online for stuffed animals is to keep some of the old stuffing. Sew a heart out of red fabric and put the old stuffing inside. Then place the heart in between the new stuffing.

If you cut the eye sockets from the inside with a narrow X-acto blade, you should be able to get the eyes out. Try some Winsor and Newton or Oxy10 cream on the stains. You can get new open and close eyes on Etsy.

That is a really sweet idea!

So cute! I am glad I am not the only person that wants to keep the stuffing haha. I am going to make a few hearts for my daughters dolls I have made them and stick them in there too! Thank you!

That’s brush cleaner right?

It’s the Winsor and Newton Brush Cleaner and Restorer. It does come in 4 oz bottles. I brush it on in small sections, let it sit a few minutes, then rub and wipe it off with paper towels. It’s oily, so you’ll have to wash the parts well afterwards with hot water and Dawn dish soap. If you haven’t already done it, try scrubbing her real good and see how much, if any of it, comes off with just washing. Also, try heating the eye sockets with a hair dryer to soften the vinyl so it will be easier to cut.

For vintage vinyl I have used vinyl cleaner for cars and it worked great. I was just cleaning though- not trying to take off original paint. In fact, I was afraid I would take off paint. It left the vinyl really nice.
