Finally finished my first reborn

So after many mistakes have a better idea of how to make them( I think) lol. It is quite the learning curve and will remain so. This is the Noa sculpt by Gudrun Legler

Nice first reborn. Who are you going to do next? I suggest getting an inexpensive head (or large legs) to practice rooting.

Thank you! I didn’t do many close ups. The mistakes are rather blaring. The worst part is the creasing. Will try harder on next doll and try a different tutorial. Any recommendations on a great tutorial?

Yes I have practice limbs. So will try those as didn’t last time and practice with them. Lol. I thought I’d do Harmony next. Or should I try a bigger doll? I have a Sarah and an Andi.

My biggest recommendation as far as tutorials go would be to make sure you love the style of painting for the tutorial your following. Your baby won’t look like the one in the tutorial, but just make sure you like what you’re following. Also tutorials can be great, especially when your first starting, but don’t be afraid to stray and make it your own, it’s how you will evolve as an artist and develop your own unique style.

In my opinion, one of the best tutorials is “ CustomDollBaby.com” was my go to, for my first baby. I have painted, only 2 babies because I have been rooting 6 heads(lol) For my daughter I am a newbie. Another site I always visit is “ Enchanted Kriatures, and “Saint Cloud Nursery”. You will learn something on each one you watch, and then use your own or preferred technique. Is like you said, a learning curve!. God luck.
