I just sent my little Maddie Camryn, my Celeste contest baby, on her way to New York. It was the usual bittersweet parting. You pack them up and then wish you could take them out for one more hug. I had such mixed feelings about her anyway. I disliked the lower lip and chin, but the rest of the doll was just stinkin’ cute, and she was super, super cuddly and such a chubbers. She wouldn’t fit in a flat rate box with her blanket and everything, so her shipping to the opposite coast, was quite steep. Never-the-less, I’m glad she could go to a forever home. I haven’t had any correspondence with the purchaser, so I don’t know if she’s going to a kid or an adult, but the purchaser had a man’s name. That usually means it’s a man buying a present for a daughter. Most of my dolls have gone as presents for kids which always worries me… I guess once they leave, it’s time to let go, huh? Kind of like when your kids grow up…LOL (I’m dealing with that too!)
Congrats, Helen? Mind posting a pic for me? I don’t remember which one was yours lol.
Congrats Helen. Same here with packing up both Serenity’s this morning. Bitter sweet. At least mine are going to artist that I know will appreciate them. On to the next babies!!!
Congratulations Helen. My Diana/Kitten sold while I was on vacation. I e-mailed the buyer that I’d ship her Friday. I had just gotten home and made it to the post office by the skin of my teeth. I didn’t have time for any parting sorrow but I know what you mean
congrats helen i loved your celeste she is beautifuly adorable
She was a very nicely done Celeste, Glad she sold for you !
Yes, she is! Shipping days are bitter-sweet, for sure. I like her earrings. How’d you do that?
I cut the post shorter and I use a very fine awl to punch the hole. There’s nothing to it. I’ve been putting earrings on some of the girlier girls lately. It’s a fad…
Congratulations!! Sometimes it is so hard to let them go.
Congrats! I am happy for you!
