She is INCREDIBLE and enchanted!
Did you do it with an air-dry as she is so big.
And I always love all your costumes! So creative!

Can’t wait to see!

I did use air dry. I have only used acrylic one other time (AVI) but that was solid air dry, I didn’t do subtle layers, no mottling…

It wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be. She started off with very deep and orange vinyl. These photos have been a color corrected for fun, in real life she still is a little more peachy-ish.

She is really big, very delicate but long limbs. I like her bald better but you have to cut her head to get her eyes in.

I think they may have sold out of this kit for a hot minute but worth getting if you want a fun project.

I get baby burned out once in a while so it’s nice to switch gears and play.

If Genesis doesn’t get back up and running I think I will be fine with air dry, there are some advantages but I sure love my genesis.

Edit: I filmed myself making her on You Tube

There are two videos. I will link them in case anyone is interested

Gerlinde Feser’s super big kits needed the pate cut out for the eyes and assembly which was horrible to glue the piece back in place. Sorry you had to go through that. I used eyeco platinum eyes in mine, the eyes are slighty squishing (silicone/glass), the back of the socket is solid and not partially falling off like some kits (I took a pencil eraser and poked around). After the head cooled down a bit so I wasn’t playing Hot Potato with it, the eyes slid in easy. They are round eyes so they could be adjusted to get that side-eye look you achieved. For the platinum eyes, the measurements are odd numbers; so a typical 20mm eye is 21mm. The eyes are custom made and don’t ship immediately, but if you drop them an email and ask what they have available for ready to ship in platinum and the size you need, you are in luck. Off to watch your video, now!

I have never tried platinum eyes, I will check them out. Cutting and replacing the plate wasn’t too bad, it did make getting the eyes in easy, but it does take away the option of keeping her bald unless I covered it with clay. Thanks for the tip.

Being the impatient type, I watched on YouTube. Most excellent! Those ears are fantastic; I actually fixate and stare at them.
