Expecting packaged

When ever I order something I always track it, if it has a tracking number. I’m expecting 3 packages today. I’m not gonna he home to get them. I hate when I’m expecting a package and no one is there to get it. I live in an apartment building, so usps will not leave it at the door n I’m glad they don’t. Although, ups has left packages at my door, n I called n complained. One time ups delivered my package to wrong apt. She had the nerve to open it and put some of the items away like she ordered it. Are you usually home when you expecting a package?

I have a mail box at the postal annex at the bottom of my street. I actually got that because someone broke into our community mail box and tore it all to pieces. So I just decided to get the box since I have medicine’s delivered as well. At least I know now that ALL my mail and packages are safe, including, USPS, UPS, FedEx and anything else that might show up. It does cost a lot though!!

We live in a house in a small community. My regular mail carrier puts packages in the garage and his sub puts them on the covered front porch. UPS leaves them on the uncovered patio. I had one package get rained on. Thankfully the items were in sealed plastic bags so they stayed dry.

I try to be home for the delivery but it’s left at the door if no one is home. Thankfully, I’ve never had a problem.

If I know I’m expecting something important I make sure I am home. My postman is awesome and is pretty much here on a daily so if I don’t awnser when he rings he disguises he packages with the plants on my porch! It’s cute!

I work Wednesday thru Friday during the week. If BB Has a kit on sale I like, I figure I have to order right then, before it goes off sale. If I know it’s gonna be on sale for a few days, then I could figure out delivery which is usually 3 days after I order it. But with them, you never know.

We live in a single family home and have a covered porch out front. If nobody is home any of the carriers leave our packages on the porch. There is usually someone in and out during the day so they aren’t usually out there very long. So far we have not had any issues.

I don’t think she was. She said she thought it was hers, cause she order stuff too. But you knew you didn’t order any baby items.

Maybe you should look into a po box if it has been a problem
And I try to watch like a hawk on a day I’m getting a package, as much as I can
I live in the Main Street of the city here so someone would just walk by and grab it regardless of what was inside (I’m sure they would not know what to do with doll stuff but they might not even care)
Ugh I hate that

I’ve thought about it.

I have opened packages that were not meant for me. When i am expecting something about th size that arrives I do not think for a moment that it could be for somebody else, and the labels have such a tiny print that I would have to put my glasses on to read it. :anguished: The problem is I have always dozen packages on the way, and my daughter sends stuff to my address too because she works, and if needed it’s much easier to pick stuff from the PO here than in her place. I have on occasions ripped packet apart and wondered when and why on earth would I buy the item that just arrived. Then I looked at what was left of the wrapping to realise it was not for me oooops.

I opened a box once when living in an apartment complex… Didn’t even think twice it had my last name… didnt notice the first…
Then I couldn’t figure out why I got the stuff that was in it… then looked at the addressee. First name was Thomas… not me… lol. Only Thomas I knew of was one of my neighbors boyfriends… So I went and asked her. And sure enough I had opened his birthday gift from his Grandma!!! :frowning: Thankfully it was not my fault and he didnt care.

The postal carrier buzzes your apartment to let you know you have a package. If it doesn’t fit in your mailbox. If you don’t answer, it goes back to the post office and you have to pick it up the next day. They will leave a slip in your mailbox.

Most of the time if I am not home usps pos it on my covered porch although once I came home to find my package on the ground in front of kits house. Thank God it was in plastic, because it was in the snow. I called and complained. Porch ever since.
