Doll show feedback

I did a local doll show this weekend. It proved to me, once again, that we are our own worst critics. My Flossie, who is my least favorite, got soooo many ‘She’s so cute!’ comments and she was the only one that I sold. My cuddle baby Joseph, who I did as a blondie, I thought might be too pale and everyone who saw him commented on how real his skin looks. I sold some fancy crocheted booties/shoes and a couple of holiday items. Even though I didn’t sell a lot of dolls, it was a fun day. I love seeing the reactions of people who don’t know about them and telling them about the process.

Happy for you!

That’s wonderful!!! So nice that you are in an area that does stuff like that too!!!

This was the first nearby one in years. I’m hoping they’ll do it again next year.

What doll show did you do?

I don’t think we live too far away from each other I would have totally come and checked it out.

It was done by the Redwood Empire Doll and Study Club in Santa Rosa at the Veterans Memorial Building. I wish I had thought to post it before the show. I’d love to meet some forum members.
