Doll for elderly lady

I am wanting to donate a doll to an elderly dementia patient. How do yall recommend that I should weight her? I am thinking on the lighter side. I know several ladies on here do this and was just looking for any advice and tips on what is best.

Definitely on the lighter side. When I first donated dolls I was weighting them about 4 lbs and I was asked by the center if I could take them back and lighten them as the patients had commented on how heavy the babies were. Basically now I would just put a bit of weight in the hands and feet so they lay nicer and fill them up the rest of the way with poly fill. I also find just a plastic poly pellet pack in the body cavity is enough. There really is no need to put anything more than polyfil in the heads too. JMO based on what I have experienced here.

Thank you. That is a tremendous help. Did you find they had a preference between awake or asleep babies?
