Does anyone else bake with a halogen oven?

Hi when I first started reborning in january I tried a convection oven with disasterous results ruined my arms and legs as I couldn’t get temperature right. I read somewhere of someone using a halogen oven so I bought a large halogen oven with metal ring which I line with a tea towel. This works brilliantly. Best thing I bought. I set it at 160 for 10 mins each side. X

160? That’s not hot enough to set the paint… GHSP requires a temperature setting of 265 degrees.

My dolls are set at this temperature I check it. X

160 degrees c and they set really well. X perhaps halogen oven is hotter than it says xx

Most people use Nuwave which is a halogen oven. Set at 265°F for 8 minutes.

If that is 160°C that is equal to 320°F which would be too hot… and could result in shiny vinyl, warped vinyl or melted vinyl.

I assure you I’ve been using it at this temperature for past few months and no I don’t have and haven’t had any problems as mentioned. X my dolls come out perfect and paint is set. X

Are u using a thermometer in your oven the whole time your baking and if so is it showing it’s really that hot?

Not now I did at first and it’s just fine been using it since February and baked quite few dolls all baked well no shiny surfaces warping or anything. And dolls are properly baked. So it does work! It must be at the correct temperature if it’s setting my dolls problem free and hassle free Xx
