Do I need to strip?

I ruined my Lanny  this is my first time painting a ethnic baby, I was really happy with his colour just needed to start shading and creasing but decided to start the lips hated the colour stripped them using Windsor and Newton and this happened I’m so disappointed. Can I fix this or do I need to strip him? Advice very much appreciated thanks you

Nice skintone. I think you can fix it. If you have some pointy q tips. Dip in the Windsor n Newton squeeze excess off. Go along the outline of the lips, with a steady hand to remove the paint. Then another q tip for the lips. I push the lips out, from the inside to get the middle crease.

I don’t have any but I will buy some in the morning hopefully i can fix it. I’m making him for my daughters birthday she won’t mind but it will drive me insane if I can’t get it right. Thank you for replying to me.

Do you have any tips for the side of the mouth where the paint has rubbed off please?

I think you can fix it, too. I don’t think the lips look bad at all. He just needs some touchups at the corners of his mouth. Beautiful, smooth skin tones.

I can’t really see where it was removed from the corners. But, either try to match the skintone or do some shading at the corners of the lips.

Very nice skin tones! I would definitely attempt to redo the lips before stripping.

There seems to be lighter skin on the face around the corners of the mouth, not on the mouth itself.

Yes I think that’s the main problem i must of got the Windsor and Newton on the sides of the mouth accidentally I will try to touch it up if it doesn’t look good I will consider stripping

I wouldn’t strip. I think it will look fine once there is shading. I wouldn’t worry about it. You could always make it some kind of blemish if it still bugs you. I think once the lips gain color again along with the shading it will make the marks not near as visible. If nothing else, there are pacifiers 🤷
