Do I need it?

I purchased the AA skin tone from Carrie. She uses linseed oil in this tutorial and I am wondering if it is of great necessity?? Hoping someone who has tried with or without can help me out. Thanks in advance :rose:

@snuggle2me can explain it better.

I think that it makes it kinda slippery… so it blends better.

I used some today. And could feel the difference. I think it would have worked better on my not already rough Landon… lol. :wink:
Also I think Gamsol thinner works better for ethnic as well. (I still need to grab some.)

Thanks for your reply! I’m ordering the gamsol and some of the colors needed for this tutorial, but I didn’t see any linseed at BB. I’ll check my next go-to online store… Amazon. Lol

Remember if you buy the Gamsol at BB your whole order ships slower.

Micheals may have both.

Michaels does sell both. Michaels usually have a 40% off coupon too for 1 item.

Hobby lobby sells both also

No you do not need the linseed oil. I do recommend the gamsol for ethnic babies and get the glazing gel varnish as well.

As long as your using Gamsol you can probably omit linseed oil. Personally for me, I like using it. If you do decide to use it you want to get refined linseed oil by Winsor and Newton. Both Hobby Lobby and Michaels carry it.
