I’ve recently finished up a few customs, so I decided to take one out today (April Kazmierczak). Started of by dropping my youngest off at preschool. I carried April with me, people thought she was real all the way through.
She was also a big hit in my doctor’s office. The doctor and staff loved her, said she was “incredible.” Last stop was at a roadside fruit stand where there were three generations of women and children. She got lots of love in there. They took my contact information and will most likely be contacting me for orders. I also stopped at Michael’s for new paintbrushes. One of the cashiers wants one too.
Last stop of ths day was back to my daughter’s little preschool. The manager greeted me with “You caused such an uproar this morning! You had people scared!!” Confused, I asked why. She told me that a parent ran into the school this morning frantically reporting that some woman shoved a baby in the front seat of her truck. Fortunately they are familiar with what I do, so they were able to calm her down.
Moral of the story: 1. If your sales are slow, take a baby out for the day. 2. If you do this, either put him in a car seat or hide him under something.
I am wondering how did you carried April around, just in your arms or you have baby sling or front baby carrier?
I am asking because when we take our Oliver (Lillbror) out he is in a car seat, or I carry him in my arms, but I want to bring one doll to Orlando show with me and wondering what is the best way to carry him in a different places.
As far as the doll shows go, I have no idea. Ive never been to one, but I’m almost thinking a stroller for that. It would hold the baby and any purchases you might make.
As for April today, I carried her in my arms, wrapped in a blanket… until I tossed her in my truck.
Lol Twice now Ive had my recents out to show some clients and they caused an uproar at the bank drive thru cuz they were just laying cuddled in a basket on my front seat . I had to park and bring them in to be passed around and loved.
It takes a lot of nerve to take a baby out! that’s fun though. I was thinking of taking Joseph to work tomorrow for show and tell but I work with all male engineers so something tells me That may not be my target audience
I’ve been to Rose and watched a bunch of IDTS videos . I’d say a stroller. I saw a bunch o strollers in both places then you have hands free and a place to store all your stuff. I did see a couple of front carriers too. That might be easier to travel with and of course you’d still have hands free
I took Joseph to work after reading your note. It went very well! Much better than when I’d taken Beesley most people didn’t like him at all. They were taking pics of Joseph and stuff that was my first time taking a baby out in his car seat haha FUN
Im have been planning to have my daughter carry one of my babies around in the store and take my business cards. I don’t speak much French and I have to drive my silly chair and I was thinking having a young girl carry a baby would be more eye catching and she can talk to people where I can’t.
Glad you had some good reactions…and an amusing one. I wouldn’t want to scare people but Im also not really wanting to go buy a car seat
We watched 3D Avatar movie with our new baby Avi and his ‘brother’ Oliver last night. My hubby surprised me and bought DVD after I created our little Avatar. I wanted to show him his beautiful Pandora planet that he came from - isn’t it crazy? Love this hobby and my babies!
@jeepers Thank you! You would love it even more if I’ll tell you more details. Hubby said “I can put paper 3D glasses on boys, but I am afraid to scratch their faces.” This is how real they are to us, and we are two sain programmers!
