Dark clothes question

Is there any specific way to prevent color transfer if I put dark colored clothes, blankets ect. on a doll? Getting a doll soon and found an adorable outfit that I want to buy but I don’t want to stain the vinyl.!
Below is the outfit if it helps…

Wash it 1-2 time before, and maybe put a long sleeve shirt under ?

With dark colors, I soak in vinegar to set the color and then wash 2 to 3 times. I always put clothing under the dark colors also.

Yes, definitely wash it first. I’ve only had issues with one outfit, some dark denim overalls that leaked dye like crazy when I washed them, and I washed them thoroughly several tines and they never stained the baby. I’ve never had issues with navy/dark sweaters or pants or anything but I wash them to be sure.

How long do you soak it for?

I usually do it overnight but that might be a bit extreme. Lol

Wash first, and when you put it on you can put something white underneath. I usually go with a long sleeve onesie and tights.

Do you use straight vinegar or do you mix with water?

I dilute it. Maybe 2 cups to a sink of water
