Cuddle bodies-sizing

I have a couple heads (19) inches and I thought I had a bunch of cuddle bodies but I can’t find them anywhere! I will have to order some and I do love BB cuddle bodies, no sewing!!! sign me up!!! but they are not currently on sale and 30 bucks for a cuddle body for babies I am going to sell at a lower price point is out of budget. Luckily there are options out there.

Here is my dilemma, I don’t like big body- little head, cuddle bodies tend to be teddy bear like. I was wondering if using an 19 inch cuddle body on a 19 inch head would be a little too “bobble-head”.

I have this problem with some of the smaller sculpts (like Darren) a little too big for the 17 body a little too small for the 19. I have tried sewing them smaller but its a pain.

Anyone try a smaller cuddle body on a larger sculpt?

what I have done in the past to make them seem a bit smaller is to sew elbow and knee stitches in them kinda like the old cabbage patch dolls. That helps to shorten them a bit. Then you can sew a gathering stitch at the neckline like where some kit bodies have elastic. Just use a good strong thread doubled up and hand stitch it into a gather. That helps to snuck up that area.
