Chrystal head stripped

Just like my Ginger Kit i had to strip her head because of the varnish layer i give her

I now have to apply a matt varnish before I can paint her again ?

I’ve found the matte varnish helps the paint to stick after stripping. It’s better than painting and having spots where the paint doesn’t stick

Thank you i wil do that someone here did say that also :hugs:
Before i have had trouble after stripping that the paint wil not stick
So i do the Matt varnish before
Should i dllute it with thinner so it is more liquid or only stir good ?

That’s a great question! I always dilute my matte varnish with thinner because when I don’t I end up with the rough, gritty texture. The only time I don’t dilute it is when I am making an alternative doll and need the texture for the painting style/appearance of the doll. This is the case for the layer before painting and the finishing layer.

I add in enough thinner to brush on the varnish, and I pounce off any excess with a makeup wedge.
