Can someone please help! Paint coming off as i am rooting

I have started to root my reborn and for some reason the paint if coming off where I am rooting at. What can I do to fix this?? It looks white where i have been rooting it looks like the paint is coming off. What do i do?

Are you talking about the needle hole removing the paint?

Yes

Did you seal the head before you started rooting?

Exactly what I was thinking Jean!!!

@aliciadowns01 If you have sealed the entire head and it is not fully cured, when you root it will “flake off “ with every needle poke

If this is the case try baking the head a few mor times

I let it cool completely between each bake and flip the head one way and then the other so that the side lying on the towel can be exposed to bake. And then face down so the back of the neck gets the full heat

If you did not seal the full head it may be that the paint itself is not fully cured also….and the head needs to be baked again.

I seal the head also and many times I get the white spots where the hair goes in. I take a q-tip dipped in medium such as mona lisa or whatever you use and just gently remove them by gently dabbing them. I use the medium a lot when I root anyways because I map the head with a white prisma pencil and remove the lines as I go with the medium. I wash the hair and style it after I am done. The white dots always disappear.

She uses air dry paints.

I didn’t seal the head because I have heard people talking about it flaking off but that is better than the paint coming off. I sealed it last night and going to wait a couple days and try to root again
