I’m thinking about painting a reborn doll with folk art metalic paint. Is folk art paint good or shouldi invest in golden metalic paint?
Depends on how long you want your work to last. If your going to sell then definately don’t use the cheaper craft paints

Yeah I suppose so I want it to last for a good while at least.
Agreed, craft paint fades and isn’t recommended for reborning.
It takes an investment to do things properly.

They will likely fade over time. You’ll need artist grade paints.

I have used Folk Art Glitter, no problems, I’ve been painting for 5 years. The glitter that I used is still on the doll, I sealed/varnished 3 times. I am going to use Folk Art metalic gold and silver soon and think it will be fine. But the doll is for me so… I would invest in the pro metalic paint if you are selling the baby. I am crazy and use lots of things I shouldn’t for the dolls that are for me and my family. The Lion in my pic has horse hair for his whiskers. But I always use Liquitex Pro Paint for the initial skin tones of the baby, then go crazy from there.
