These limbs were really shiny. I used the liquitex matte gel to varnish the limbs. I don’t like the roughness feel of the varnish on the limbs. Is there anything I can do to softness the roughness feeling? It was my first time using the matte gel as a varnish. These are the shiny limbs. I used the Gemini thinning medium mixed with my paint.

I would recommend to use 2 layers of Americana w cornstarch recipe with 24h interval between them.

Thank you. I thought about using that first. But went with the matte gel for some texture.
It is best to use a varnish over the matte gel. Gels are not meant to be a final coat so it needs some varnish over it anyways.
