I hate the way ihsp takes a long time and i have only done two layers 1 flesh coat 1 vein blue for mottling and i absolutely hate it. If not how do i strip without damaging the kit?
Since that paint might have some type plastisol in it, I dunno if acrylic would stick or not. At the very least you would need to prime it with an air dry primer first.
I just hate it. Tbh i have baked one layer and the kits arms and legs has indentations from being hung from dryer.
I am sorry. People either love it or they don’t. It is nothing like Genesis was.
Yeah i suspect genesis was much better
After i bake i dont hang the parts for that reason. Once baked i lay the parts on a soft towel to cool.
That is just one of the the many small things that you find out while on the research journey before actually diving in. Id push pause on panting and go back to the schooling aspect of reborning. I didnt start painting till about 6 months into research. I think i started off better that way. I already knew so much
How can i strip without damaging the kit
I use rubbing alcohol. I havent tried windsor and newton brush cleaner but its recommended a lot. If it makes you feel any better i have had to strip every baby i have practiced on, including the doll i just finished. I think its just part of the new to reborning process
Why do you need to strip? If you have indents from hanging the kit, reheat it and lay the parts on a soft towel to cool.
Windsor and Newton has changed their formula and no longer works for stripping like it used to. There were some conversations on here about it a while back.
I havent had the need to search for stripping and im new here but ill check it out! Thats a bummer tho, formula changes are frustrating
