Do any of you ever put a kind of signature or brand on your dolls? If so, what do you do?
I sign and number my dolls.
Where do you sign them?
I like this idea! To sign AND number the dolls. Do you just sign the body on the bum or someplace on the back?
I sign the limbs on the opening and stamp the doe Suede bottom with a rubber stamp of a bunny which is part of my nursery name.
@alli8696 @Jacelyn5440 I sign, date and number the body on the bottom with a black permanent marker. I will alot of times also initial the inside flange of the limbs and head. I keep record of every dolls details with their number in a notebook in case I need or want it in the future.
Edited to add:
I do not number my therapy dolls or play dolls anymore. I use to but I stopped doing that about 2 years ago.
I add a couple moles that match mine. I have two areas where I add a little one. That way I can recognize my work and prove when some tries to pull a fast one.
I sign the flange, and also sign the butt of the cloth body under the diaper area
Me too, sign date and number the bum and sign the flange of the head.
I sign and date the flange of the head and limbs
I don’t know how is good to go about . Anyone can change the body if they want to etc . It would be a really nice thing to have the artists name somewhere along with the sculptors name
Once upon time in the beginning of my reborning days (2005) I put a felt heart with my name and email on it in the chest where the heart is. Kinda like the build a bear bears. But I stopped doing it it was to much of a hassle writing on the felt
Do you use a fabric ink or just any type of ink pad?
Thanks
