After getting my kit and seeing pics of painted loulou with the belly plate that came with her and how HUGE it is @Alypants I was thinking of ordering a different one from BB. Do you think that would work better? The 18-22 female belly plate or the gender nuetral belly plate might be a better match than the one that came with her?

Any plate would be better. I stuck with the original one because I figured buyers might want the full original kit. I debated about cutting it down to fit. But I decided to leave it alone. I didn’t use any string on mine. But string might help it fit more snuggly. The only thing that is bothering me right now is the high shoulders. I think I’ll add string and see if that helps.

On mine the chest seems way to wide… like her nipples are in her arm outs. I love the plate but it def seems too big

Ah ha! Duh me…
I have a 18-22 female plate that I’ve been painting for Alexa but my brain was telling me I needed a nongendered belly plate
So here are some comparison pics I have.
The female plate is on sale so I think I’m going to splurge and make an order cause it’s not like I’m going to order Never Is she Ever gets here. I don’t think I like her anymore lol. I’m waiting to see my favorite artists paint her first. Then I’ll have to have her and be willing to pay full price.

YEs it does seem big but I kept it because I wanted the keep the whole kit together.

I’m most likely going to keep her for me but if I do sell her someday… oy. Maybe I’ll do two bellies lol

Maybe I’m crazy, but I see hardly any difference and I think the plate that comes with the kit looks fine. Maybe we just have hefty babies in our family. LOL

To me it looks like it’s made for a wider baby maybe 6 weeks-3 months… not newborn. Idk
