Baking After Rooting!?

I know that it is possible but how to go about doing it. I noticed in a reborn I completed small cracks formed in her varnish. I didn’t notice until recently. Can I re matte those areas and then bake with the mohair in? The hair is glued and everything so at this point I’m not sure if it possible. I use E6000.

I read that after E6000 has cured neither heat or cold will effect it.

The E6000 glue should be ok. Some glues do separate from the vinyl when heated, though. Be sure to wet the mohair and place a wet baby hat (or cloth) on the head.

Thank you. Going to try now.

I baked my Adelya about 7-8 times after I rooted, I had to do her eyebrows, add blush and some other colors and redo her varnish and I did not wet her hair down or put a wet cap on her hair. I just used a dry hat to cover her hair so it wasn’t blowing around in the oven and getting stuck in the varnish. I think the reason for not wetting is bc then when you bake, you will create steam, and that will not let your varnish cure, or so I read. So I didn’t wet her hair and it was fine.

Go light on the varnish, it probably cracked because it’s thick.

I had some issues with it. Even on another baby. It was not like chalkiness it is legit cracks. I threw it out. Got some new Matte. I been combining Satin and Matte since those issues with just the matte no problems.

It is cracks. Like I have never saw this before. I was just thinking about trying to find a few head.

Either way, it shouldn’t crack. That’s generally a sign of being too thick.

Okay thank you. I’m thinking if I can find a new head I’ll probably just do away with it. Because even applying another layer of matte there will be cracking under it.

Hoping BB will help me get a replacement head!
