I’m not a kid-owner and these sizes are whack. I’m looking for sandals for Amaya Burke. Does anyone know what size shoe she wears?
I asked that question once for a different doll, ordered the recommended size 5 and got shoes that would fit a 4 year old. I gave up trying to find the right shoe size online. If I don’t have any in my stash that fit, I take a leg to the store and try them on. (I keep most of the leg in a bag.)
Well poop. They are really cute but I’m not sure I can find them at a brick and mortar around here
There are baby size and kid size, they are the same number. . Most sellers have a size chart on their site. If not, just don’t buy there. Be careful to choose baby size. Don’t go by age (months)but really by number.
It is best to actually measure the sole of your baby or doll’s foot in inches. If a vendor does not give you sole lenght don’t buy from them. Never go by age solely.
Here is a handy chart to give you a sense of the infant sole sizes by approx. age.
I make crib shoes mostly for newborns and a 3.0 to 3.25 inch lenght is perfect.
Newborn =3.0 to 3.25 inches
0-3 months = 3.5 to 3.75 "
3-6 months = 4.0 "
6 to 9 months = 4.5 "
9 to 12 months = 4.75 "
12 to 18 months = 5.0 "
Just measure her sole length and look at the chart above to find her size. If she is bigger than 18 mos. then search google for her sole length to get the size.
Thank you!
@Debdi, thank you so much for this info. I can’t tell you how many crochet patterns I have looked at and it says the shoes are so many inches long for the sole. I never know, really, how to figure it. But, now I do.
I am delighted that this helps you!
I use this info to adjust patterns to get the newborn size. If the design is for a 4-inch sole using DK yarn, I can get a 3 to 3.25-inch sole with thread and tiny hooks.
This is really helpful, too.
Thank you
