Baby powder on paci

I heard that you should put baby powder on pacifiers before putting them in Twin A’s mouth to protect the paint. Is this true?

I wouldn’t. The powder can act as an abrasive, sort of like sandpaper that rubs off the paint.

I have heard both.

Not sure which is true. They say do not put baby powder on your doll cause it causes tiny scratches… but I have seen reborners for more than 10 years say to put it on modified pacifiers and that it will help the paci slide into the mouth…

BUT not sure why that would matter for twin A? Doesnt the full pacifier fit well?

They fit fine but this one is kinda sticky so that’s what I was worried about

Oh gotcha. I wonder if it is due to it being a silicone pacifier? They say silicone and vinyl react to eachother… I have no experience with this. I have used a modified pacifier on a few dolls with no issue but not a full one on any so far.
I would not leave the pacifier in her mouth if it is sticky at all
Have you washed it with dawn dish soap? Maybe it needs washed

Personally I would say the powder would cause less of an issue than the stickiness

Thanks. I will go wash it now and see if it helps

They seem to feel just as sticky.

Thank you

You could try a little cornstarch. They use it on silicone dolls so they’re not sticky.
