I’m thinking about switching from reborns.com to artdollery.com. Have any of you actually sold anything on this site? I wish there was a way to see adopted babies.

Following too.
I had mine listed there for a month. No sales, no inquires. I canceled my membership for now. I know @pia had mentioned someone at one point that had sold one on there but I cant remember who it was.
Edited to add: the main reason I have decided not to renew was the not taking PayPal currently. It only takes swipe. That is a downfall for me. However, Marissa has said that she is working on getting PP integrated. I do not know how soon that will happen or where she is at with it. Maybe she will hop on and let us know the status of that. You can pay your membership with PP but you cant take it as a form of payment.
I think there have been several sales. Bonnie O’Dette (@windeec) sold one. Pretty sure that Linda Hill and Bobbi Barfoot have too…
I posted three, but no sales. I took them down as I was having trouble getting photos to show up. I’d also like to see stats like they do on reborns…how many clicks/favourites etc
I get the impression that only the well known artists are having success selling on there.
Maybe @Marissa will stop by and update on the site progress and if there is a way to see how many sales have been completed? When PayPal will be installed? Any auction sales?

That’s the impression that I get as well. It doesn’t really draw most of our average customers when almost every doll listed there is so expensive. I wish that some of the artists with more moderately priced dolls would be allowed a free trial or a commission option to drive traffic to the site.
I agree, I know there is a regular $20/month membership and the prototype $50/month membership. I feel the prototype membership with the more known artists is selling, but not quite sure as there is no adopted section yet.
Hi @jeanhai! Sales have been great so far, and we’ll be adding an adopted section shortly. I have a lot of things on my to add list, and some fun new features coming too. Hope you will join us on ArtDollery.com!
PAYPAL & PAYMENT HEADS UP: You CAN accept Paypal presently as well as:
Certified Check
Personal Check
Money Order
Bank Transfer
Credit Cards
Just go to Menu: Your shop: Payment Settings to make your choices
We are still waiting on Paypal for full integration which they expect to happen this month. BUT since there is no commission, or sale fees, you are welcome to accept whatever form of payments you choose and we put in a way for people to pay you through PayPal. Just be sure to fill it out on your profile. Your listings will reflect your personal options. Then on checkout the buyer is able to either pay immediately with a credit card to your personal Stripe account, or contact you for a Paypal invoice, or to pay with any of your other accepted options.
We have had a lot of Buy Now sales, as well as auctions, from both prototype artists as well as regular sellers. I think because the prototype artists have been mentioning their sales more on Facebook etc, it seems more disproportionate than what it is. We do have a wide range of prices with new sellers joining us regularly. People have also begun listing supplies and accessories as well. Remember- you can list as many items as you like per month- this includes things like doll kits, clothing etc. @Mommarobin. We are adding this in. The photo uploader had a slight issue that we are resolving regarding the turned photos. You are all welcome to join the Facebook group too! Redirecting...
Thank you for this info. When I had checked a week or so ago before canceling my membership, there still wasnt the option for Paypal listed. The only option I had was swipe.
I just want to make sure, a buyer cant complete a purchase on your site directly without waiting for an invoice from us if we only accept PayPal right? (Like reborns does) That wont happen until after the the integration?
Also, how many sales have there been between buy it nows and also auctions? I know you said quite a few but I am curious of the actual number if you dont mind sharing.
Any chance you could add postal money orders to the ways to pay list? My bank told me that bank money orders are no longer same as cash because of all the counterfeits. Postal money orders are the only ones I accept.
