I found myself staring at cute babies all the time. When a see a baby I first look at their feet, then hair, then lips… But when the parents catch me I tell them how cute their baby is and try to stop staring but something comes into me. I try to compare skin tones with the parents or one of my kids if they are close enough. I try not to look like a freak, but I sometimes think people see me staring and wonder what the freak is wrong with me.
My husband’s family has 2 day cares so I see babies all the time, but I have become obsess with getting the right skin tone. please tell me I’m not crazy.
YES! I was holding Stella at her party a couple of weeks ago, but I was only interested in looking at her SWIRL…so I turned her around and held her face out, away from me. LOL…and then I had to examine her nails. Yep. Auntie Karen will be banned from future parties.
It’s okay. It’s an artist thing. If you were drawing horses, every horse would catch your eye. Every nuance of stance would draw your attention. If you are a nature artist, leaves blowing in the wind…a certain cast of color through the branches…all have an entrancing quality. Rejoice in it. That appraising eye is a gift from God.
The other day my hubby and I were outside with Sophia (our 16 month old) and I was taking pictures of her. Later my hubby was looking at the pics and said you missed her face in a lot of these. I was taking pictures of her swirl I’m forever looking at her little feet too
I do the same thing with my baby niece! I take my camera everytime I see her lol I have so many pics of her, more than her parents do.
These 2 are my favorites, I hope you don’t mind. You can use them for reference, I do lol
It might be your biological clock ticking. I am not a kid person at all but I worked in a hospital and everytime I saw the babies in L&D I would have to stop and stare. I couldn’t stop looking. I normally don’t take a second look. Well, I soon found out I was pregnant. After that I went back to not looking–so much.
I am constantly looking at crowns. Even when I am sitting behind some older guy that has lost a bit of hair I still look for the pattern that might have been there,
