Are these pix the same doll?

Does the top picture look like the bottom 2 pictures??

I think the lips and brows are different???

Certainly looks different in the eyebrows, but it’s pre owned so maybe they added to the eyebrows?

Are the eyes even the same?

Oh and she just joined reborns so…might be a scam?

The eyebrows are definitely different. Perhaps someone added onto them? Seller says she bought from another person so the previous owner could have done it and the seller doesn’t know?

Top pic is probably hers, bottom might be from the original artist. This is one beautiful doll.

I remember looking at the bottom doll when it was listed…..I remember thinking that you lost quality (so many are like that) when you blow a pic up to see details.

I agree. Maybe someone enhanced the eyebrows after receiving her.

I do think eyes look the same like @quiltsabunch said.

I think seller should post a few more of her own pix and point out that the bottom ones are from original artist.

That’s the right way to do it. Good to do for any doll, but especially this one- she’s $1,000.

Side note: I can’t believe how many people alter dolls after buying them. I have a private collection here and would never touch them.

I don’t know but she sure is cute. Just the eyebrows look different. I like the darker ones better.

If the top picture is the Original doll then the bottom picture is definitely different. The coloring on the face doesn’t even look the same to me. The bottom picture is “softer” colored. The lips are different also. If it is the same doll, why would you repaint it?? JMO

Absolutely!

I think I opened and re-weighted all of mine
And varnished some also

I would do that. I have one that has fingertips which need to be touched up. If they got shiny I would varnish, then if the weight wasn’t right I’d fix that too. I am fortunate that the weighting was perfect.

I was talking about people buying dolls and doing all kinds of painting, even painting different skin tones. These dolls often get resold and they don’t always mention their changes, so the artist will get credit for the doll regardless of what it ends up looking like.

I think it needs reported so Dave can tell her at least post more of her own pictures. And if she can’t, well then…
Edited- well I messaged him and told him I think she needs to

Instead of jumping to conclusions, I asked her about it. She said it’s the lighting, that she hasn’t done anything to it.

Well that might be true, but she should still have her own pictures, in my opinion. There aren’t closeups or pictures of legs and feet either.

It very well could be the lighting. The artist pix are very soft…like a focus blur may have been used….which is ok for a pic or two. But seems misleading if there are no clear photos at all.

I am not against re-using artist’s pix but feel like it should be pointed out and only a few used with current pix being predominant to show condition of doll at present time.

It’s totally up to her. Because it would be on the buyer to request more pix……??

I just was amazed at the difference in looks.

I agree they are very different. I mentioned it to her because it might affect the sale of the doll.
