Looks like the artist name is CHRISTO SKOUROPANNIS so that other one not a knock off as Christo is the artist.

I don’t know what the top right kit is named. It’s just listed as Christo because that’s the sculptor. Here’s the description. She could check markings on her kit to see if they are similar.

Yes, I agree it does look more realistic and for me less scary with the large ears. As a kid I wanted more than anything a chimpanzee and a skunk without the stink! A horse was a on the list too. But the chimp was my favorite.

I have a closed eye chimp that looks like this. I will have to take a photo… Its an unpainted kit I just haven’t gotten around to making yet…
I don’t know who sculpted him tho. I got him because he was different. Lol.
Not sure if its the same sculptor as the kit above?
