Ok. I’ll put it up BUT, it is NOT the way to do this drink and wet thing. I mean it got the tube in there but caused a bunch of damage. I’ll get the video up on YouTube then. The best way is to sew some string into the top of the tube and then pull it through. Put cardboard on the face to prevent damage. I’ll make a video on doing it better then.

Susan Gibbs teaches an online class on how to do this with a silicone baby plus a bunch of other things like lunago, belly button stump, applied eyebrows etc.
I want to take it later down the road when I have the extra money and time.

Can you use a pipe cleaner to clean it out?

I guess you could use a pipe cleaner. I was contemplating trying a gun cleaning kit. They have the little pieces of cloth that go on the end of the wire for cleaning.
From talking to others that own drink and wet silicone, most of them will give the baby a bottle of water after whatever they had first then flush it with vinegar every so often. None of them report mold BUT you can’t actually see up that tube so who knows what’s actually in there.
I think I’m gonna go with vinegar myself. Coke has citric acid and that’s what cleans it. Citric acid is the same thing naturally occurring in citris fruit. I don’t think putting sticky things in there to clean them is good idea. You can’t see this tubing to rinse it well after the acid (coke or lemon juice) and make sure the sticky is gone.
Vinegar is acetic acid. Technically it is a type of citric acid. It is also not as strong as straight citric acid. The coke or lemon juice would be a stronger cleaning agent. I’m pretty sure you can buy citric acid by itself. If you did that, maybe it wouldn’t be sticky? I’d have to buy some and see.

I have citric acid. It’s not sticky at all. When it gets wet it makes your skin feel almost squeaky clean like harsh soap and hard water does. The texture looks like very fine sugar.
I have a one pound bag, not sure if that was the smallest amount we could buy or the best deal.
