Anyone know this doll

My sister purchased this doll for me at an auction. I have been trying to research this doll and unable to locate what doll it is. Thought I would check here to see if any of you may know.

It looks like a Berenguer to me. That’s an awesome carrier.

It would help to be able to see the face of the doll and look for any writing on the back of the neck. From what I can see on my screen blowing it up, the face and hands look very much like a Lee Middleton doll. It would be my guess that it is either a Lee Middleton or an Adora doll. Adora dolls look very much like the Middletons as well.

I put a message into my friend Faye of Dolls and Stuff. She might know as she has been a Middleton dealer as well as Adora. I sent her a copy of your picture.

Well Ms. Faye said she does not remember any Middletons like this.

A couple of years ago I saw an Ashton Drake on eBay, I can’t tell if the actual doll looks the same, but it had a carrier that looked exactly like that, to the best of my recollection anyways. I don’t know if it could have been your doll that I saw, or if it is the same Ashton Drake. The carrier looks a bit elaborate for an Ashton Drake carrier, but you never know.

Thank you. I am afraid to remove her from the wooden cradle. She feels like vinyl. I have been researching. My sister thought she was an American Girl doll. I don’t think so. I will try to get a look at the back of her neck.

The cradle board may have been purchased separately for the doll. I found the Red Fox Cradle boards alone going for $300. I was surprised. I do not think my sister is aware of what she purchased at this auction.

Could be American Doll Kayla?
